   Book Review

In this section of the site we will review a book or two each month.

Books have always played a strong part in my learning whether it be a book on the physchology of golf, technique or as our first book illustrates, just some great motivation!.

The tours newest guru shares with us his thoughts on putting and some of the methods he has used in helping Darren Clarke, Paul McGinley amongst others.

The book is nicely written and gives the player a step by step process to build a sound repaeatable putting stroke. The other great short game gurus of our time dave pelz being one of them, may disagree with utleys methods but he puts up sound reasoning to put his message across.

Basically, there are 2 schools of thought;
Utley; the putter will swing in an arc as it  goes back and through.
Pelz; the putter needs to travel  in a more straight back/straight through line for consistent holing out.
Which do you do?!

The book also contains useful information on putter fitting reading greens and mental rehersals/routines.

All in all a good read and a welcome addition to my collection.
